New Year; New Journey

Hello my fellow fashion lovers
MODA & CO is back better than E V E R
and she will be exploring a new journey and be Graming the hell out of it from the outfits and all the fun that goes on. Also, will try to blog the experience and trends of fashion at least 3 times a week. I am not the best at writing but I will give this a go and even so I want to start by PIC blogging so aka me just blogging of pictures and just little snips of me writing of each.

If you didn't know who Moda and Co is well hey it's me, Lydia Sirianni and 2017 is the year I will be following my dreams that now have turned into reality of fashion and be starting college just around the corner at The Fashion Institute (TFI). I have had such a huge interest in fashion from my job and just realising what I want to be "when I grow up". I work at Glassons and their I have the opportunity to style other females and let them be happy with what they buy and try on in store.

From studying at TFI I’ll be able to put all my dreams into reality of working in Public Relations and by one day having my own business in fashion but first things first I like everyone else have to start from the bottom and work my way up the ladder. Which I am so excited to start and be able to share all my tips, tricks and trends of fashion and while I go get educated I will be blogging live and graming my OOTD, trends and other cool things that come up on the way.
So I hope you enjoy and follow the journey for what’s in store for Moda and Co.

WINTER STYLE

HEY HEY WINTER IS HERE! (well soon.)
& do i have a treat for you. yes here are the 5 key pieces to update that winter wardrobe of yours. i know i know its hard thinking and feeling that change of weather, but that does mean change of different outfits but there will be happiness in the items you choose for the winter season ahead. i have styled a outfit for a night out but also to add these into your wardrobe. First things first start with the shoe oh my do i wanna buy a pair of knee highs yes ladies the suede over the knee boots Why stop at knee high when you can go thigh high? these boots are gonna be on trend this season this will get people wanting to look twice at you. well duh the boots of cause they are freaking flawless.
Oh my lets just take a moment because the season of knit is coming Jump up the jam this season in a collection of knits. A well edited seasonal wardrobe is never complete without a range of knitwear to see you through from the sassy sun to the raging rain so for endlessly versatile style, shop collection from short to long knits. This season's hottest trend id say would be classic that classic monochrome, try chunky knits, a trusty season hopping cardi, off the shoulder pieces for a summery burst, cropped cuties to flash a little flesh and loose boyfriend cardigans that go with everything. Drop knit like it's hot right now!
Before i forget keep your style game strong this season and work one of these bangin’ bomber jackets. The perfect throw on and go jacket are to die for these padded bombers will ensure you look knockout. A style which is borrowed from the boys but will look so much better on us. Cause a little chaos in a quilted jacket with contrast faux fur hood, a fierce longline bomber, a lightweight satin beaut with fierce silver zip detailing or strut your stuff in an on point embroidered floral bomber jacket for that major laid-back cool vibes style. Bombers are totally on trend! khaki, burgundy and grey hues are the go to colours these winter season.
Now to finish it all up for all the hat lovers out there you'd know all about the felt wide brim hat. just what you need to fix that bad hair day and to finish that cute on style outfit you have going.
LASTLY GIRLS JUST BAG IT UP! (Grab your favourite go to bag oh and add the finish touch that cute pom pom.)
Enjoy, Love MODA & CO X

ON TREND // "Choker"

Hey Babes, How's your Wednesday treating you?
Well here i am with a new trend for you.
Lately, i have been spotting a throwback accessory that i had never stopped loving. Im not the one to buy into every trend, but one current theme thats come running in right now is that “choker”. The 90’s necklaces are back in a big way. Feeling a little iffy on the trend? Chokers have been slowly creeping into my feed on Instagram and Pinterest.
YES I'm loving the look. I'm not a fan of anything bulky, but when you pair a thin, simple black chocker together with other sleek basics like a white button down and a treasured pair of skinny jeans, it looks incredibly 'on point'. Its also a good transitional look too. Lately i have been styling outfits with a choker just to give it that sleek and effortless look, without the pain of creating a daily outfit that's on point. Its an easy and inexpensive way to add a little edge to your go to everyday looks. I just ordered a few chokers and i wanted to share where i have got them from so you can try the trend with me.
oh please do go out of your comfort zone once and a while.
(just a little hint! i once wore a chocker that was the belt to my pants and it was a easy way to finish my look.)

BRINGING BASIC BACK BABY

With new trends like mismatched prints, bold colours and patterns its no wonder our eyes and finances are swung by the fashion extravaganza the moment we pop into a store.
And really, who can blame us? It’s all a circus and mad glitzy world out there, but next time when you plan your outfit to go out I dare you to forget everything you ever knew about fashion trends…they mean nothing to you and all those inspirations you see are gone.
On this note, I dare you to style a plain tee and wear it anywhere. Would you?
What if simple became the new fabulous? Wouldn’t that be amazing!
The moment you clash a basic tee with a smarter outfit…think pencil skirts, trousers, heels/flats or even blazers. You’ll get a very chic understated sophisticated look. Adding a great bag will always pop against a simple tee look. Think all black…black skinny jeans, slouchy black tee, flats, pumps, sneakers, or even boots and BAM! a coloured bag.
(Red lips can also be the best accessory ever when rocking a basic T-shirt.)
Heres a styled outfit when dressing that basic tee.
The perfect look that is effortless and HEAPS of people will think you spent hours trying to style the perfect outfit, when in fact its just a baggy, slouchy street style look with that edge of bold colour added through a bag or bold lip.
BASIC TEE:
Glassons CLASSIC SCOOP HEM TEE WHITE
Comfy top and has that lose feel to add more layers or leave on its own.
BOYFRIEND JEAN:
Levis BOYFRIEND JEAN BLUE AVENUE
oh my goodness!! boyfriend jeans hey why need a boyfriend when you have the best pair of jeans. a need to be added to the wardrobe!!
SHOES:
Adidas Stan Smiths
ahhhh these shoes i envy!! i don’t personally own a pair they are on standby right now, i have been on and off if i should buy a pair. I love seeing them in basic street style blogs and i just had to add them as a comfy pair of shoes. Any sneakers or flats would do!
JACKET:
Oh Yes! Get me my biker leather jacket, i own one from Glassons very comfy and always got it on me when i get cold. But anything would do just to have over your shoulders or wrapped around your waistband.
BAG:
Any bag that you own or have in your wardrobe to add a colour or even just adding that red or nude lip would just finish this outfit.

AM I CARRIE BRADSHAW YET?

Hey You!
At this point, you probably couldn’t name half the clothes in your wardrobe if your life depended on it but hey thats me too don’t worry, also let alone make outfits with all of them that you would actually want to go out in. It’s not your fault.
The task of cleaning out your closet solo is near impossible. This sort of thing just happens. Fashion is wonderful, fun and exciting oh sometimes, but it can also be overwhelming. Maybe just something to help you approach your wardrobe differently and break out of this cycle of buying clothes you don’t know what to do with and never wear. Yes, You are ready.. but it could be time for a fashion reset.
One of my own New year resolutions is to ORGANISE my closet at least once a month. It would help me loads with what i have in my closet or just what i really need to buy on the ASAP. With having a job at a woman’s leading clothing company i do need to keep up to date with these latest trends and that also keeps me having new refreshments in my wardrobe at least every 2-3 weeks. Below I’ve put together a few of my best tips for getting your closet in order to kick off your enjoyable closet cleaning:
Tip 1: I suggest going through your entire closet every 6 months or so. Trust me its hard i do try myself to keep up. Try everything on!! If something is permanently stained or ripped, trash it. If you are unsure about something, call a friend or even have a girls night so you will get that honest second opinion. That’s what friends are for! Just channel your inner Bradshaw of course.
Tip 2: Don’t just throw things out. Separate unwanted clothing into three piles: toss, donate, and sell. It’s easier to let go of clothing when you know that it will go to someone in need or that you’ll be getting a good $$ in return.
Tip 3: Another idea is to do the “switcharoo”. At the begining of the year, turn all of your hangers backward. As you wear items, turn the hanger back around so it’s facing the right way. By the end of the year you will see which pieces you wore and what you can get rid of. Easy!
Good luck! Hopefully in the end it all turns out of having a cleaner wardrobe and to when every you think of your wardrobe you think positive thoughts not wanted to always push it aside when the question ever comes up. LOTS OF LOVE, MODA AND CO X

Should you or shouldn’t you double up on your denim?

Over the week of being on easter break I have been so interested trying out the double denim trend, to the different shades of denim or just to one shade together. Ever since i could remember the trend has been around and still men and woman are rocking it.
I know I’m not one where people may or may not trust my advice, but at the end of the day you make your own choices and you don’t have to go by the do’s and dont’s of wearing double denim. As seen by these lovely ladies Rihanna, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner are totally rocking the denim pencil skirt. I find the best way to wear double denim is in clean washes and classic styles like a straight leg jean with a comfy tee shirt added with a denim low cut jacket. There is plenty of great denim top and bottom options at local stores or even online.
Maybe these Do’s and Don’t’s will help you with inspiration and having the thought of what could or couldn’t be fun/easier when wearing it.
DONT wear denim accessories.
Keep the denim confined to your clothing and just say no to denim shoes, denim hats, denim handbags, or any other accessory.
(Side note: Personally, my go too denim shade is darker ones as I love the darker shades because they work with my own body type and shade of skin tone.)
DO keep it simple
When your denim isn’t that fussy, you can go bold on top. & love the use of pops of red!
DONT overdo it.
We all know about that jegging’s well if you didn’t its that jean legging hybrid. You might better off wearing your favourite pair of jeans and just have a cool tee to add.
DO dress up your double denim!!
Don’t be afraid to elevate your outfit with luxe looking items including statement heels, a blazer, or a fabulous red lip number. LOTS OF LOVE, MODA & CO X

HOW TO! off the shoulder trend.

Now here’s a trend to make you sit up straight. Off the shoulder tops and dresses remained a eye stopping highlight of the runways at New York and London Fashion weeks this year, it just makes me so happy to see more of this super-flattering, versatile style. Here my friend is the how to own a new trend, this one has been around for many of years and of course its coming back baby! I honestly walked into 2016 wondering what trends would hit and what would I be comfortable wearing on a daily basis, but hunnii bare those shoulders, because this season it all about shrugging off your sleeves plus owning that outfit you got going. I definitely have struggled with showing off my body just recently I’ve been happy and in love with showing my shoulders off ha ha. I’m looking at so much inspo of ladies at fashion week or even street style having these off the shoulder tops, and dresses. I love it!! But an off the shoulder cut can really accentuate your shape!! but honestly you can pair yours with high waisted trousers, a mid-length shirt or some cool comfy jeans. These options have got you covered!
This street style hero. Margaret has all outfits as Instagram worthy and pair those bare shoulders with some distressed denim or an on trend flare. (@margaret__zhang) I also wouldn’t mind pair an off the shoulder shirt with a cute tight fitted skirt and a black simple dog collar now this is just going out of my comfort zone!! But hey its at least a try.
I question you this. Could this be 2016’s most flattering trend??
Until next time, LOTS OF LOVE, MODA AND CO X
